Primary Place of Performance: Omaha, NE

Currently is seeking a talented and motivated System Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be part of a team of Security Engineers tasked with building new security architecture infrastructure for the customer. We are looking for a System Engineer with a minimum of 5+ years' experience. Bachelor's or Master's degrees are preferred with a background utilizing the following:
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Capability to design, build and maintain different IT architectures.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux distributions and architectures.
- Experience with cybersecurity capabilities, including event detection, asset management, vulnerability management, IAM, and data aggregation.
- Experience in shell scripting and manipulating the Linux command line.
- Experience providing Linux Administration support Experience providing engineering infrastructure support in server environments.
- Experience providing technical guidance in software engineering techniques and automated support tools.
- Experience with the following languages: Python, Ruby, Bash, PHP.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), CloudFormation, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with configuration management software (e.g., Ansible, Puppet Manifests and Foreman).
- Experience with DNS, Kerberos, Windows Authentication and Single Sign On (SSO).
- Experience in Active Directory design, implementations, and development.
- Experience in PowerShell scripting and other Windows command line.
- Experience providing Windows Administration support Experience providing engineering infrastructure support in large scale enterprise server environments.
- Experience providing technical guidance in software engineering techniques and automated support tools.
- Experience with other programming languages.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Applicants will be required to produce written technical reports, presentations and give briefings to technical and non-technical personnel.
- Experience with cloud computing, including PaaS, IaaS and SaaS.
Duties to Include but not limited to:
- Design, configure, install, and maintain multiple cyber instrumentation types of toolkits.
- Conduct system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for cyber instrumentation toolkit for network assessment of critical infrastructure and information technology traffic.
- Provide technical analysis and recommendations for system enhancements, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct system inspections, performance evaluations, and ensure compliance with industry and DoD standards and safety regulations and RMF.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system engineering activities.
- Provide technical briefings and training to both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Perform systems engineering and software development in multiple large enterprise server environments.
- Assist in establishing standards for information systems procedures.
- Perform technical evaluations and analysis.
- Support the customer in the development and maintenance of systems baseline.
- Assess server loads and work with technical leads to develop tuning recommendations.
- Complete day-to-day Operations & Maintenance tasks
- Perform operating system software updates, upgrades and patches.
- Travel: Up to 10% travel required and the ability to travel on short notice.
- Additional duties, as assigned.
Preferred Education and Experience.
- Preferred 5+ Years within System Engineering IT enterprise environment.
- Bachelors/Masters in a related field preferred
- Minimum DOD 8570 IAT II Certifications (Ex. Sec+, CISSP, GCIH, CYSA+).
- Preferred to have System Engineering certifications.
